Cozy @ Home

Worn as a slip-on or with the adjustable backstrap locking in the heel, Sanita’s $109 Estelle brings a splash of easy-clean (just wipe with soap and water!) color and style to an iconic silhouette.

Our places of residence have taken on a lot of new roles over the past months: (Home) office, (home) gym, (home) school. These days, home base means more than ever. So maybe it’s not surprising that the categories consumers are embracing are the footwear favorites perfect for life around the house. Comfortable, durable and easy to wear, slip-ons, sandals, clogs and slippers are the do-everything looks that take you through a day at home in style.

Sneakers Rule: Slip-on styles ready for anything

The $155 Care style from Asportuguesas has a cool knit upper and an on-trend chunky outsole, but its green features — recycled coffee grounds and PET in the upper yarn and latex outsole — really set it apart.

The leather-lined, Portugal-made Lema sneaker ($240) from Fly London is flexible, light and soft — all the qualities you want from a stay-at-home style.

Softino’s $200 Irit sneaker boasts a leather upper with slip-on elastic banding, and a contoured footbed for maximum comfort.

With an adaptive stretch mesh upper and a lightweight EVA outsole, Propet’s $75 TravelActiv Stretch is ready for jaunts around the neighborhood.

Contrast black-and-cream elastic straps and a tonal leopard print make RYKA’s Empower ($65) a stylish sneaker for whatever the day brings.

Revere’s $149 Bruges slip-on sneaker delivers street-inspired style for dressing up or chilling out.

A slim profile, easy-wear twin-gore details and an on-trend tie-dye upper make the $70 Next Level from Lifestride a pick-me-up in shoe form.

Sandal Style: Open toe, easy breezy sandal style

The $140 Althea sandal from Naot pairs a comfortable, contoured footbed with a mixed-material two-strap upper to deliver style in an easy-to-wear package.

Handpainted patterns add flair to the $70 Ooahh Luxe Slide from Oofos, made of the brand’s OOfoam material, which cushions joints for all-day comfort.

The $90 Milan sandal from Enjoiya adds glamour to the everyday with a chic gold-and-white take on twist silhouette.

Bos & Co’s $135 made-in-Italy Lure footbed sandal has a triple-strap upper and a fully cushioned sockliner with a cork-and-latex midsole for cushioning and support.

House Shoe Heroes: Slippers to wear everywhere

The new Satoru Moc ($100)  from Vasque brings the fit of sister style Satoru Trail LT into the home space with a knit upper and a memory foam footbed. Ahhhh.

The soft sole Brielle slipper from Bearpaw, launching in November, brings together style and comfort with its faux-fur upper, midsole and footbed, along with a TPR outsole.

Cozy interior, check. Sturdy outsole? Check. The $80 Lynez slipper from Vionic has the winning slipper formula down pat.

A temperature-regulating wool upper and a grippy natural rubber outsole make The Shoe by Glerups ($135) the right choice to bring some sunshine to your day.

Clog Central: Retro style never looked so fresh

Made with 50 percent carbon-neutral “I’m Green” bio-based EVA with a perforated upper and a removable footbed, Dansko has packed a ton of innovation in the $80 Kane, its thoroughly modern new take on the classic backless clog.

With double elastic gores and a removable jersey-wrapped footbed, the slip-resistant $130 Sereniti from Alegria is as easy to wear as it is stylish.

The $125 Woolderness 2 from TAOS is perfect for staying cozy at home or for getting outdoors, thanks to the natural cork/rubber midsole and lightweight, flexible rubber outsole. Made in Spain, it also has a natural wool upper and a removable footbed lined in faux fur.
